This Disciplined Agile Foundations live online training introduces participants to the Disciplined Agile (DA) toolkit—a flexible, context-sensitive decision-framework that helps teams and organisations choose and tailor their Way of Working (WoW) rather than applying a one-size-fits-all agile method.
Through interactive exercises, case scenarios, and group discussions, participants will learn how to diagnose team challenges, select appropriate agile/lean approaches, accelerate value delivery, and build a roadmap for continuous improvement.

Learning Outcomes:
By the end of this live online course, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the DA mindset, its principles and promises (e.g., context counts, pragmatic choice, optimise flow).
  • Explore the DA knowledge base and tool-kit (how to navigate the DA Browser, find proven practices).
  • Diagnose team / workflow challenges using tools such as the DA Team Canvas.
  • Apply DA’s 3-step Value Acceleration Process to build an actionable improvement backlog.
  • Apply learned concepts in realistic scenarios (e.g., enhancement teams, maintenance teams, non-IT teams) to tailor a context-appropriate Way of Working.

Modules / Agenda (Example):

  1. Disciplined Agile Overview — Introduction to DA’s decision-framework, lean & agile roots, choosing your WoW.
  2. Exploring the DA Knowledge Base — Hands-on familiarisation with DA’s resources and practices.
  3. Solving Team Challenges — Practical tools for diagnosing team issues and selecting solutions.
  4. Accelerating Value Delivery — Using the Value Acceleration Process and improvement backlog building.
  5. Scenario 1: Enhancement Team — Apply DA in a specific team scenario.
  6. Scenario 2: Maintenance Team — Explore a different context and apply learning.
  7. Exploring More Scenarios — Non-IT teams, complex delivery, continuous improvement.
